Hi everyone,

I had my first tocilizumab infusion on 17 June. Today the palm of my hands have started tingling and feel a little numb. Is this a side effect? Should I report it to my rheumy nurse?

Thanks ever so.

Nina x

PS sorry short and to the point, am at work!

no, nina, you need to be seen URGENTLY.

Neurological probs on these biologics are a problem for me as you know.

Hi Nina

Agree with Jenni. Ring rheumatology to speak to someone straight away.

Quick update - saw GP yesterday who said she was pretty sure it is peripheral neuropathy and that rheumy dept need to be told. I told her that they do know and asked me to see her. Have got to have some more blood tests which I'll get done next week. The tingling now affects the soles of my feet as well - that started on Monday!
